Well Plates
We don’t yet know what fiber densities and other characteristics will work best for your particular application.
Rather than sell you well plates based on a guess, we want to increase your probability of success from the beginning by making it easy for you to test multiple fiber densities simultaneously.
Depending on your results with the tuning well plates, you can then either purchase single-density well plates optimized for your application, or you can provide your feedback for us to work together to further optimize as warranted.

How to Use Your 24 Well Nanofiber “Tuning” Plate
Simultaneously Test effects of different microenvironments on cell culture: Each of the six columns has a unique fiber spacing/density (from 10,000 to 110,000 fibers/mm²), making it easy to test and compare the effects of six different matrix designs on your cultures.
Observe Cell Behavior: Run 24 tests simultaneously using your standard equipment and practices. See how cells respond to the different nanofiber densities in each column.
Share Results With USF and Iterate as Needed: Send us your feedback via our on-line portal. If your application requires further optimization and testing, we can provide additional well plates for you to explore other parameters such as fiber diameter/stiffness.
Purchase Plates: We sell well plates with all wells having a single fiber morphology and density. We will regularly add new versions in response to demand from users like you. Check our website for availability. Custom well plates are possible. Contact us from our website to arrange a meeting to discuss.
May need to be Sterilized:
Well plates are made in a clean environment but not yet certified as sterile.
We recommend cleaning with 70% ethanol followed by ultrapure water rinsing before use. Fibers should remain wet to avoid changes in the microenvironment upon drying. We plan to pursue radiation sterilization certification in early 2024.
